Coronavirus update (3/7/20)
Update as of 7:45am ET:
There are now 335 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and have been 17 confirmed deaths in the U.S.
Passengers pf the Grand Princess cruise ship are being quarantined off the coast of California due to an outbreak on the ship. So far over 20 people have tested positive.
The South by South (SXSW) festival in Austin, TX has been canceled due to the virus.
Outside of California and Washington state, Florida is third to claim fatalities. Two residents have died due to the virus. One patient was in his or her 70s and caught the virus after an international trip. There are no specifics on the second death.
